stupid everything.

today for dinner i ate what might actually have been the best sandwich ever made anywhere, ever. it consisted of: horseradish mustard, nayonaise, cucumbers, sharp cheddar, honey sesame baked tofu, tomatos, jalepenos, fresh chopped garlic and pepper, avocado, cilantro, green goddess dressing, and sriracha HOT chili sauce, all on toasted three seed bread. all organic, some home gardened. YUM! ah, the joy of a spoiled palate.

so, what's new? well, yesterday i was very productive. productivity makes me feel happy. i got up at 7, took my mom to work, bought donuts and then remembered i dont like donuts so i didnt eat them, went to the DMV and got myself a license, changed my name on my bank account, called ponge, read the book im supposed to be reading, took a wonderful nap on the front porch, finished a painting, ate leftover vegetable cashew curry stuff i made the other day, and was the photographer for Lanterns for Peace.

i also wrote an article for them in the indy media, it goes like this:

"The Madison Area Peace Coalition MAPC) commemorated Hiroshima and other nuclear victims yesterday with the area's seventh annual "Lanterns for Peace," a family-oriented event in which the approximately 150 commemorators were given the opportunity to make paper cranes of peace, design floating lanterns with their wishes for peace, write post cards to political leaders, obtain literature, and view a photo museum of Hiroshima.

The event, which took place in Madison's Tenney Park, was enhanced by musician Stuart Stotts, storyteller Mary Pharmer, free organic lemonade and snacks, and a brief rain storm. At dusk, participants lined up in a procession and each sounded a gong in rememberance; after which they released their lit lanterns into Tenney Park pond as a symbol for their wishes of peace.

August 6th is the anniversary of the day in 1945 when the United States dropped a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. The city and its people were devastated. Three days later on August 9th, 1945, the United States destroyed the city and people of Nagasaki, Japan with a second atomic bomb. Active nuclear weapons have not been deployed in war since then, although the United States has been using depleted uranium weapons since at least 1991.

"Lanterns for Peace," and similar ceremonies undertaken in many cities around the world, was an event calling for the halt of the development and use of nuclear technologies, and a universal cry of "never again!"

so that was that. here are a few pics:

so im not supposed to be at home right now. after the guerilla theater meeting tonight (in which i realized i have to be GONE the weekend we were going to do our next performance! dammit - to go or not to go, that is the question..im seriously thinking of ditching the senegal reunion thing for this.) anyway after the meeting and rehearsal god i cant spell i was SUPPOSED to be drinking margueritas with jana and jess and the NewBoy (dan) and some of their friends. but JANA hasnt called me. ...i called her call which was busy and then i left a message..

well i hope nothing bad happened but i was all ready to go out! motherfuck! so now i think i should just go to bed, but it seems so..disappointing. ive got to work on this timing thing. i never want to go when others do and when i want to there is nobody around. ryan is sick, my bro and carrie and shaun went to some other thing that i didnt go to coz i thought i was going to janas. gr. so now im posting an entry at this fuckin computer. and i cant even go in my room and start another painting coz my niece is asleep in there.

not that i mind that, just that, you know...it would be something to do. i guess its good i dont go out so i can get up again tomorrow and not find a job. but if im trying at least i can say i tried. right.

i thought about going to have a beer somewhere. but that is pointless, there is beer here and bars suck. parking, money, loud people, cigarettes. god im bored. i could work on the zine, but i just dont feel like doing anything that requires thinking. . . . . l.alskdfj blah.
